Springfield Daylilies are now well established at their new home at Banksia Farm between Port Alfred and Bathurst.
It is hard to believe that in April 2007 we stood looking out over a wild tangle planning how we were going to fit in all the new daylilies that were soon to be arriving.

A bulldozer was brought in and the work began. With the bush cleared a tractor set about preparing the land, ploughing, rottervating and ridging the new beds. All the while pipelines were laid, a borehole sunk, pumps and filters installed and drip lines laid on the new beds. In May we were ready for the first plants to arrive, and arrive they did. Almost 30 000 plants were planted durning May into the half hectare land. With regular feeding and watering through the drip irrigation, 8 months later, the wild tangle is now a sea of colour.
Now open to the Public, visitors are welcome on Fridays and Saturday mornings. Appointments can be made for other times too. Contact us on 046 6250859 or 0736047677.
